Celebrate the Holidays in Marrakech or Porto with Ryanair's New Flights
If you have ever dreamed of unwrapping your Christmas gifts under the warm Moroccan sun or amidst the charming streets of Porto, your wish can now come true! Ryanair has officially launched additional flight options for travelers from Tours Airport to two of the most sought-after holiday destinations: Marrakech in Morocco and Porto in Portugal. These flights are now open for booking, enabling locals to enjoy a festive getaway during the holiday season.
Details of the New Flights to Marrakech
Ryanair has consistently operated regular flights every Monday and Saturday between Marrakech and Tours until March 27, 2027. However, to accommodate holiday travelers, the airline has introduced extra flights on two special dates: December 23 and December 30, 2026. Departures from Marrakech will take place at 5:45 AM local time, arriving in Tours at 9:45 AM. Conversely, flights departing Tours will leave at 10:10 AM, landing in Marrakech at 12:05 PM. Additionally, an extra flight has been scheduled for March 24, 2027, with similar timing to facilitate travel back to Tours.
Schedule for Additional Flights to Porto
In a similar vein, Ryanair has also added supplementary flights to Porto. Regular services to this beautiful Portuguese city run on Fridays and Sundays, but during the holiday season, travelers can also fly on December 23 and December 30, 2026. For the Porto to Tours route, flights will depart at 1:05 PM and arrive at 4:05 PM local time, while the return journey from Tours to Porto will leave at 4:30 PM and arrive at 5:25 PM. An additional flight on March 23, 2027, has also been included, ensuring flexibility for travelers.
For those interested in booking these flights, reservations can easily be made online through the Ryanair website. It is important to note that while these additional flights offer affordable travel options, they also contribute to significant carbon emissions, with the French Ministry of Ecology estimating air travel emissions at 22.1 million tons of CO2 in 2024. For instance, a flight from Tours to Marrakech emits approximately 142.7 kg of CO2 per passenger. As we move forward, it is vital for each individual to consider their carbon footprint and strive to reduce it to 2 tons annually by 2050 to mitigate climate change impacts.
