Expansion of Medical Services for Moroccan Police
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in Morocco is taking significant steps to enhance the medical services available to police personnel and their families by launching a new health center in Marrakech. This initiative is part of a broader effort to expand healthcare accessibility and alleviate the burden of travel for those living in remote areas who currently need to journey to the capital, Rabat, for medical services. On Saturday, Abdelatif Hammouchi, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, oversaw the commencement of construction for this new facility, which is designed to cater specifically to the needs of police officers and their families.
This new health center in Marrakech follows the successful model established in Rabat, where the first specialized center for radiological examinations and medical tests began operations in 2019, inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The primary objective of this initiative is to improve the health and social welfare of Morocco's national security family, ensuring that they receive timely and quality medical care.
The Marrakech center is expected to significantly enhance the existing healthcare infrastructure provided by the national police, given the advanced medical equipment and services that will be available. With multiple levels of services, the center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology dedicated to medical examinations and analyses, ensuring that police staff and their families have immediate access to essential health services without the need to travel long distances.
