Morocco's FUS Rabat Clarifies Stance on Signing Rida Slim from Al Ahly

FUS Rabat Dismisses Rumors of Rida Slim Transfer

In a recent statement, Idris Saber, the official spokesperson for FUS Rabat, addressed the ongoing speculation regarding a potential transfer deal involving Rida Slim, a player from Al Ahly. Amidst the backdrop of Slim's lack of participation in matches since his return from loan at the Royal Army at the beginning of the current season, Saber categorically denied any negotiations with Al Ahly for his signing this January.

During a segment of the program "El Clasico" aired on ON E, journalist Sihem Saleh revealed her communication with Saber, who emphasized that there is no engagement with Rida Slim concerning a transfer. He pointed out that since Slim has not been utilized by Al Ahly's coach, Hussein Ammouta, in any matches this season, the question of acquiring him seems unfounded. Saber stated, "How can we consider signing a player who is not even playing for his current team?"

Rida Slim initially joined Al Ahly in the 2023 season, arriving from the Royal Army on a four-year contract. During his tenure with Al Ahly, he has participated in 44 matches, scoring five goals and providing three assists. The clarity provided by FUS Rabat’s spokesperson helps to dispel any misconceptions surrounding the player's future, ensuring that fans and stakeholders are well-informed about the club's position.
