Morocco Joins the 16th Language Festival in Providencia: A Celebration of Cultures

A Cultural Extravaganza in Providencia

The vibrant city of Providencia, Chile, is set to host the 16th edition of the Language Festival on Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Café Literario Parque Balmaceda. This exciting event promises a plethora of activities designed for individuals of all ages, offering free entry to everyone. The festival aims to foster cultural exchange and language learning, encouraging attendees to explore diverse languages and cultures.

Among the exciting features of this year’s festival are express classes lasting approximately 30 minutes, conducted by specialized educators who will guide participants through the basics of various foreign languages. These sessions will provide essential skills for everyday conversations, including greetings, introductions, and simple inquiries, making it an ideal opportunity for both beginners and language enthusiasts alike.

New Cultural Partnerships and Opportunities

This year's festival will see the participation of nine esteemed cultural institutions, such as the Goethe-Institut Chile, Istituto Italiano di Cultura Santiago, and Instituto Cultural Chileno Japonés, among others. A notable highlight of the event is the inclusion of Hungary, Armenia, and Morocco, represented by the Hungarian Chilean Association, the Armenian Community of Chile, and the Mohammed VI Cultural Center for the Dialogue of Civilizations, respectively. This introduction of new cultures enriches the festival's diversity and showcases the importance of international collaboration.

In addition to the language classes, attendees will have the opportunity to visit information stands operated by the participating organizations. These stands will provide insights into academic offerings, teaching programs, scholarship opportunities, and cultural activities taking place in Chile. The festival promises to be a hub of learning and networking, facilitating connections between community members and cultural representatives.

Mark your calendars for this enriching event on November 14, starting at 10:00 AM, located at Av. Providencia 410 in the Café Literario Parque Balmaceda. For more details and updates, be sure to check the Instagram page of the Providencia Library System: @biblioprovi.
