In a critical weather advisory, the National Meteorological Directorate (DGM) of Morocco has issued an orange alert for thunderstorms affecting various provinces throughout the country on November 2 and 3, 2026. This warning indicates the potential for severe weather, including thunderstorms accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind. The DGM has outlined specific regions that are expected to experience significant rainfall, advising residents to prepare accordingly.

On Monday, November 2, rainfall accumulations of 20 to 30 mm are anticipated between 1 PM and 11 PM in the provinces of Es-Semara, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, and Assa-Zag. Following this, the same weather conditions are predicted for Tuesday, November 3, from 10 AM to 11 PM, with rainfall estimates ranging from 30 to 40 mm in provinces such as Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Zagora, Al Haouz, Azilal, Errachidia, Midelt, Assa-Zag, and Tata. Residents in these areas are urged to exercise caution and remain alert as the weather conditions may lead to localized flooding and other hazards.
