Inauguration of a New Healthcare Facility in Marrakech
On November 7, 2026, Abdellatif Hammouchi, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, presided over the inauguration of a new radiological and medical analysis center in Marrakech. This significant development aims to expand healthcare offerings for the nation's security personnel and bring essential medical services closer to beneficiaries throughout various regions of Morocco. The establishment of this center is a continuation of efforts initiated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who launched the first center of its kind in Rabat in 2019, with the goal of broadening access to specialized medical examinations beyond the capital.
The new facility is part of the General Directorate of National Security's commitment to enhancing social and health protection systems for police employees and their families, particularly those residing in areas far from the capital. This initiative is designed to alleviate the burden of travel to Rabat for medical examinations and analyses, thereby improving access to vital health services.
Plans for the center include the construction of multiple levels, equipped with modern medical facilities and technology. This advancement is expected to elevate the quality of healthcare services provided to beneficiaries and further develop the healthcare infrastructure associated with the National Security system.
