Strengthening Youth Engagement in Moulay Yacoub
On November 6, a significant organizational and consultative meeting took place at the regional headquarters of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in Moulay Yacoub. This gathering was organized by the regional working group of PAM's youth organization, aiming to address pressing national and organizational issues while focusing on the concerns of local youth. The meeting was led by Abdellah Mouni, the regional secretary of the party, and featured notable attendees such as national council member Mouni Ben Cheikh, regional coordinator Hafsa Bakkouch, and party youth council member Mehdi Mahdadi, alongside various young activists from the region.
During the initial discussions, participants expressed pride in Morocco's achievements regarding territorial integrity, recalling the significance of the Green March anniversary and the values of sacrifice and national unity it represents. Additionally, members extended their congratulations to Fatima Zahra Mansouri for her recent appointment as head of government and to Salah Eddine Abqari for being named the Minister Delegate for Youth, wishing them success in their new responsibilities.
Addressing Youth Challenges and Future Initiatives
The meeting also tackled crucial issues facing youth in the region, particularly the lack of employment opportunities, inadequate infrastructure, and the absence of higher education and training institutions, including vocational training centers. Participants urged local policies and programs to prioritize youth issues more effectively, advocating for enhanced training, qualification, and professional integration opportunities to meet the expectations and aspirations of young individuals in Moulay Yacoub.
To broaden youth participation and strengthen the organizational presence of the party in the region, it was decided to form a committee responsible for preparing a communication meeting with local youth. This initiative, supervised by the executive office of the national youth organization, will launch an "open doors" initiative directed at the youth of Moulay Yacoub, serving as a platform for engaging young talents and encouraging their involvement in political work and organizational life.
The meeting concluded with a strong emphasis on the need to transition from discussions to actionable initiatives, transforming the outcomes of the dialogue into practical programs that can be implemented, thereby elevating youth involvement in party activities and ensuring their issues and aspirations remain at the forefront of the organization’s priorities in the region.
