EasyJet Launches Exciting Challenge for Runners in Morocco
In a groundbreaking initiative to revitalize the running experience for enthusiasts in Paris, EasyJet has partnered with Foolish to introduce the 'Changez de piste Challenge.' This unique campaign aims to encourage runners to break free from their monotonous routines and explore the vibrant city of Marrakech, Morocco. With running gaining immense popularity in France, and particularly in Paris, where local runners often find themselves traversing the same familiar routes, EasyJet seeks to offer a refreshing alternative. The campaign will run from November 5 to December 2, 2026, and will strategically target high-traffic running areas such as the Seine Quays and the Buttes-Chaumont Park.
Utilizing the popular fitness app Strava, the agency identified key gathering spots for Parisian runners, creating an innovative way to engage them. As runners pass through these iconic locations, they will receive notifications inviting them to "change their route." This message will direct them to a dedicated challenge page, where they can swap their usual running paths for exciting new routes in Marrakech, including famous landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque and the Jemaa el-Fna square. The initiative is designed not only to surprise the runners but also to inspire them to take flight to the Red City, with affordable round-trip fares starting as low as €49.
EasyJet's Marketing Manager for France, Clémence Turpin, stated, "With this operation, we aimed to intercept runners at the precise moment when their routine becomes mundane. By cleverly leveraging the codes and tools of Strava, we demonstrate in a playful manner that the best way to break the monotony of a Parisian jog is to take off for Marrakech with EasyJet." This marketing strategy not only highlights the allure of Marrakech but also positions EasyJet as a catalyst for adventure, encouraging runners to explore new horizons.
The promotional video for the campaign has been directed by the talented duo Steven Kali and Sacha Andres, known for their dynamic blend of live-action footage and visual effects. Produced by Kids, the video encapsulates the spirit of adventure that EasyJet aims to instill in runners.
