RNI Party Strengthens Leadership in Fes-Meknes and Drâa-Tafilalet Regions

RNI Party Announces New Leadership Opportunities in Fes-Meknes and Drâa-Tafilalet

On October 29, 2026, the National Rally of Independents (RNI) officially announced the opening of applications for the position of regional coordinator in the Fes-Meknes region. This decision comes in light of the recent transition of Mohamed Chouki, who previously held this position, to a new role as the party's Secretary-General, succeeding Aziz Akhannouch, the former Prime Minister, earlier this year. The party has invited active members interested in this role to submit their applications along with a proposed efficiency contract to the party's central administration in Rabat.

Applications will be accepted from October 28 until November 7, 2026, at 4 PM, marking the deadline for submissions in accordance with the party's internal regulations, specifically Articles 17 and 18. This move not only pertains to the Fes-Meknes region but also extends to the Drâa-Tafilalet region, where Saïd Chbatou was the previous regional coordinator. Notably, Chbatou's son, Marwan, a former parliamentary member of the RNI, has announced his departure from the party to run under the banner of the Authenticity and Modernity Party.

This strategic reshuffling within the RNI aims to strengthen the leadership and operational framework of the party across key regions, enabling it to better engage with local communities and enhance its political influence in Morocco.
