Fes Municipality Calls for Extraordinary Session
The Fes Municipality has scheduled an extraordinary session for November 11, 2026, where members will gather to discuss several important items on the agenda. Among the key topics are local governance projects, financial aid distributions to associations and sports teams affiliated with the regional league, and the establishment of a new cemetery. This session aims to enhance local community support and ensure the effective management of public resources.
During this session, members will unveil the list of associations and sports teams operating within the Fes region that are set to benefit from the allocated financial assistance. This funding is particularly crucial for those teams participating in various regional football championships organized by the Fes-Meknes regional league, which is expected to kick off at the end of November.
Key Projects and Financial Discussions
In addition to financial support for sports teams, the agenda includes an agreement between the municipality and the regional directorate of the National Water and Forests Agency. This partnership aims to develop a nursery and park in the Sharai district of Bensouda, providing residents with green spaces and promoting local biodiversity. Furthermore, the council will examine a proposed amendment to the public transportation budget for the city, reviewing the financial allocations for the upcoming fiscal year 2027.
The members will also deliberate on the overall budget provisions designated for local districts for 2027 and will consider the framework agreement for establishing a communal cemetery, reflecting the municipality's commitment to addressing community needs and enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
