United Airlines Enhances Its Marrakech-New York Route
In an exciting development for travelers between Morocco and the United States, United Airlines has officially announced an expansion of its direct flight service from Marrakech to New York/Newark for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. This enhancement includes a remarkable increase of more than 37% in seat availability, allowing more travelers to experience the cultural and economic exchange between these two vibrant cities. The revamped service will commence on October 25, 2026, and will extend until May 26, 2027, nearly two months longer than in previous seasons.
The airline's commitment to this route is underscored by its status as the only carrier offering non-stop flights from Marrakech to the metropolitan area of New York. According to a statement from United, this extended service will afford travelers increased options and flexibility when planning their journeys, along with streamlined connections to over 65 destinations across the Americas via its Newark hub.
Amit Badiani, the Head of Africa and Offline Sales at United Airlines, noted, "We are experiencing double-digit growth for the second consecutive year and are proud to provide our highest seat capacity to date and an extended season between Marrakech and New York/Newark, giving travelers more time to plan their trips and travel." This strategic move follows the launch of the Marrakech-New York/Newark service in October 2024, which has become a crucial part of United's African network, complementing existing routes from Cape Town and Johannesburg to New York, as well as services from Accra and Lagos to Washington, D.C.
The flights will be operated using Boeing 767-300 and Boeing 767-400 aircraft in a premium configuration, featuring an enlarged United Polaris business class and United Premium Plus seating options, thus enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.
